I just couldn't hold back

So much for being unsure if I could do this daily, I've been trying to hold back from hourly. Let's see here are two videos that are not only amazing, but I guess fall under artsy!

Dance, dance, dance... I got my gymnastics start due to dance and I will continue to return to it! Talk about two fantabulous videos. If you haven't already, please click and watch.

Onward now-
Sign up for pinterest.com it's awesome. I just created my account and already have a pile of nicely organized and labeled things I love (all design images, but it'll grow).

One of my many dream homes is up for sale...

If only I had a spare half million dollars laying around. The photo's listed of the inside show great bones and lots of potential, but probably I'd redo everything (go figure). See previous post with green subway tiled kitchen, did you think that I'd be lucky enough to just move into one... because I don't. A nice farmhouse sink would fit right in though, don't you think?

House Specs- 4 bed, 3.5 bath, separate in-law suite, 1 acre lot, set back far from road, deck around back, and did you see that gorgeous circular area? The only thing I'd change is.... more windows! Windows are my favorite... I'm even willing to clean them if it means I get tons of light.

Guess that spare half million needs to be increased to a spare million. I mean be realistic: kitchen redo, window additions, plus I'm sure that there is no library. I love to read. I am frequently called the book monster. If I could I'd read a book a day, at this point in time (being mostly jobless) that is what I'm averaging. A library is required... maybe one like this

Those books look ultra classy, most of mine are trashy romance novels, but I'm thinking I don't care all that much... we are who we are. FYI: Favorite new book is Janet Evanovich's Sizzling Sixteen. Talk about a funny lady.

Not sure how this posting went from dance to home to books but it pretty much sums up my life. Here's to life.

A Few Favorites...

I'm not making any promises on this being a daily thing, but I figure if I start now, chances are better I will stick with it. I've had an absolute blast being able to comment on people's blogs so far and thanking them for inspiring me to start my own, or just sharing some beautiful images.

I've got to figure out how to link to someone's page still so I can give credit where credit is due, but here are some gems I found today...
This one I stole from Shannon at What's Up Whimsy. It's a Jonathan Adler product and it retails for a shocking $595. Maybe someday after I hit it rich?

Oddly another favorite is also from the What's Up Whimsy! page and it's actually a room in Jonathan Adlers residence. I love the carpeting (or is it something else?) and the bold colors... I want a more homey feel to my own someday house, but how can that not take your breathe away.

I wish I could remember where I found this, but I think it's perfect... hopefully someone can let me know! It was in my searches yesterday where I just started stealing images and didn't make any sort of list of where they came from. Note to self: Start paying attention!

This whole blogging thing is going to take a few tries to get a hang of! If I steal something from you, I apologize in advance I'll try to be better about credit. Right now I'm so overwhelmed with this whole world I'm just clicking through and not paying attention.

In other news, hopefully the long lost pool will be opened soon... It's been one problem after another and now we are already into summer with no luck! Right now it's green and buggy and needs to be cleaned... Ick!

Here's to life.

A Fresh Start

After spending hours looking at design blogs, wedding blogs, and the many other blogs that I have managed to stumble upon, I decided it was my turn. As a twenty-something it seems like all the blogs I look at are helping me to picture my future. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but every other twenty-something girl out there seems to care about 3 things, that party, those shoes, and of course that guy. Well I've got the guy, I'm way past the "party" stage, and well 2 out of three just doesn't cut it (No girl ever stops caring about those shoes). I'm in the hurry up and wait stage. As a recent college grad I can't wait to land my first "real" job, but in this economy... it's not looking great. At this point I'd be excited to just get out of my/the boy's parents houses, again no job. Well I shouldn't say that, I'm not jobless... I coach gymnastics and love almost every second of it, but I went to school for Marketing and PR, not coaching.

Like every other girl out there I'm looking for my happily ever after... and right now it looks like this in my head.

1. Great Job (Something in sports)
2. Fabulous House (Has to have character)
3. Forever with a genuinely good guy (Can't believe I found one)
4. Kids... maybe... someday... far off in the future

Not a bad picture huh? I've even got details nailed down... I want to work for a Professional sports team writing press releases, helping with advertising and merchandising. I want to live real close to a city, but not in it. I want my kitchen to have a green subway tile backsplash, which opens up to my living room that has a pretty mix of green and navy and a light blue, oh and two kids. Lets not discuss gender, you don't get to pick so why worry?

Obviously I've put some thought into this. Plus, like I said, I've put tons of time into looking at design blogs.

Is this where I'm supposed to upload a picture of myself, my guy, and our future children? Maybe, but I haven't played that "What will your kids look like?" game on Facebook. I'm also not sure on the whole putting my face to this yet... I'm not ashamed, but I know I'm outspoken in my views and don't want to have to edit myself.

I like country music, but don't believe in God. I like high heels, but spend most of my time in flip flops. I love the summer, but can't picture life without snow. I'm a walking contradiction... did I mention I'm in my twenties? I'm a little bit girly but mostly I get along with geeky guys. I have a favorite video game, Super Mario. I have this weird obsession with dinosaurs...

Yeah that about sums it up. This blog is my space to vent, to think, to share, to learn, and to grow. Life is sloppy and messy, but I want it to be honest and happy and filled with joy. Here goes nothing!
